   - A measuring tape is needed to measure the slump. The reduction in height of the concrete from the original height of the cone is measured to determine the slump.

 4. Tamping Rod:

   - A tamping rod is used to compact the concrete in the cone. It should be a round, straight steel rod with a diameter of 5/8 inches (16 mm) and a length of approximately 24 inches (600 mm).
